The article is about people having two personalities - one online and one real. We seem to spend more time online than living the real life, thereby not really having a social life.

Hmm, every human being in this universe lives a double life. One which is public and other one really private and protected. And guess what the latter is always "mean and unworthy and despicable". Probably you would have heard this from Nambiar in Gentleman.

This is not about a private and a public life. These are two different public life(s) of the same person (in addition to the private life).

Sriram Varadharajan said...

How can one of two public lives be private?

where did I imply that? onnum viLangalai.

Driver, you did not imply that. I meant the "online life" which is not 100% public. E.g. take the blog world, where most of us do not divulge our personal data, hide behind a web to pass comments, try to push our agenda , etc.

Most of the time it is protected(like you and me because we know each other) and private(like passerby).

:-) Well, two of you have misunderstood things.

No. 1. Blogs DONT have ways to convey EMOTIONS!!!! So you won't know if there is a SMILE in the face or GRUDGE!!!!!!!!!!! FEAR OF UNKNONWN makes you do various things and the responses are a result of that.

No. 2. Writing in blogs, like it or not, will attract comments.
Many a times we either under estimate or we get defensive when we hear things hat we don't like.

No. 3. I only wish that the PERSON is IMMATERIAL but the subjct, but most of the time these blogs are filled up with things that are NOT the "Subject" of the post.

PS: I don't have a kudumi FYI!!!!
